Cessna Citation ll SP installation question

Post by BerLopez » Tue Sep 12, 2017 2:34 pm

Perhaps this is a dumb question. when I first purchased the Citation II SP some years ago the installers' title was Cessna Citation IISP; Then an update was introduced and that installer was C II / SP 1.5.

Then I got C IISPX.exe and it shows in the aircraft.cfg file as:Eaglesoft CitationII1.5

I have the key carefuly put away and the corrected air.cfg with the corrected Left hand side window showing the window frame just want to know if I am missing anything and what is the difference between the two files and if there is a difference can I simply run the new installer ( CIISPX.exe)

You are good. Nothing to be of concern. Use whatever you like.

Thank you for your reply:Can I run it while the Citation IISP is present in my installation, with out running a risk of getting double copies ?

Have done that last night Ron. Got it working. If anything it's got sharper contrasts and I like that.

Thanks for your support.Glad the forums are back in line Again.

My FSX \Acc. Installation suddendly began to take forever to start or get to the opening screen ( Where the mUsic beggins to play and the default plane shows turning in the lower window)

I have had it taking up to 1min. 30 secs from when I press the FSX icon on my desktop...Then it began to take up to 10 minutes :?

So I decided to investigate and found that the gauges of the Citation II SP had installed Twice in the FSX.cfg file...! ???

So with everything crossed I deleted one of the repeated Group of lines and run the sim Again. It started in 1 min. 22 secs. I thought I was on to something :P

Until I ran FSX Again from start, then I had to accept the gauges Again.

Maybe I have something in the registry that needs deleting so the gauges don't install twice and slow the sims' starting time :?:

Can anyone assist ?

That's not an 'install'. It's a validation entry so that the next time FSX loads it doesn't ask you if you want to run the gauge(s). Leave it alone, it is most definitely not the source of your issues.

Slow loading is primarily aircraft count... did you install a huge AI library?

Thanks for your reply WarpD; You are right they installed Again.
I do have some aircraft installed in FSX...But no AI at all

My sys. is not up to spec, so that could be the issue, am saving up for a new sys. But the gearbox in my car just began a leak, You know bad Things seldom come alone
