CXG2 Turn On Power

Win 10, Intel i7, Steam, MSFS X for Steam, just downloaded Citation X extreme 2.0

I am able to move the emergency braking handle to hide the yoke and to flip the emergency slat stow switches. No other button/switch works including battery, APU etc. I can not turn on avionics power. Engines seem to be running and I can take off in the plane but cannot operate landing gear, FMS and no gauge functions.

I have tried to find the solution online for two days. Please help. I know it's likely something stupid on my part.

PS

I am an ATP, with 3000 hours, type rated in the Citation X.

Installed again (several times). First log execution of app - all graphics are there but response is unusable: 5 sec+ to change a view. Second execution of app and onward - MSFX crashes 100% of the time. Note: all other built in MSFX aircraft work perfectly. Have tried reinstalling several times. So, I cannot use the Citation X Extreme aircraft at all. Please help.

It's not the CX but rather your W10 security settings or some other local issue. Request system specs including memory. Is this a laptop?

Windows defender is turned off completely in app and in the Task Manager. No other security is activeto my knowledge. I am running on a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 with an external Dell 37" curved screen Screen using the Microsoft Surface dock.

Windows 10 - 64 bit
Intel i7-4650U @1.7 GHz - 2.3 GHz
Pen and touch support (on the screen of the SurfacePro)
Memory 8.0 GB
521GB flash drive

The following error message appears when I try to load the CX the sencond time and onward:

After careful and complete deletion and reinstallation, I now have graphics back. Crashes application only after a few minutes. View changes do not work or take 30 seconds or more. Unable to flip switches.

OFFER: anyone who can help me make this app work as well on my set up as the YouTube videos - a free ride in a Citation X from Oakland to Las Vegas on January 9 or Las Vegas to Oakland on January 12 or BOTH.

Thanks for the kind offer but the symptoms you describe resemble a real lack of smooth operation in OS/Sim with conficts. We've never seen such slow loading of this aircraft never mind the system crashes you describe. :geek: Referring once again to this for W10: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38

PS: Please check on the graphics capability of the Surface Pro including graphics memory.

Uh... since when is a Microsoft Surface a supported PC for FSX? It's graphics alone is so sub par as to be insane. Who told you to use a Surface for simming??

OK. I will give up, return the flight controls I bought to Amazon. What is odd is that all other aircraft in MSFSX work perfectly with great graphics. Only the EagleSoft Citation X Extreme works poorly or not at all. Are you sure it's my Intel Graphics subsystem?

I'm sure there's something about your system that's not behaving. The use of a Surface as a simming unit I will continue to question as they are just not that powerful, especially in the graphics department. However, that is for you to deal with, not I.

I suggest reading this thread, despite it being for the SR22... the behavior sounds familiar: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=81
