I now give up. Spent many hours trying to make the CX Extreme work. No luck. What is weird is that that every other aircraft works perfectly including the LearJet and King Air. Only the CX sim crashes or hopelessly drags. Tried every single recommendation I could find. Nothing helps. Too bad.

Sorry to say but the CX works well on hardware capable but our own view is that your hardware is ineffective for other than default aircraft. :geek:

See opening thread and onward. Just a guess but think the regedit solution for disabling "W10 Error Reporting" is the likely solution for the marginal hardware issue but the user doesn't state he has done that. The link is in our FAQs section first here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38 then here: https://superuser.com/questions/950997/ ... ws-10-home

Okay, I've bought a dedicated gaming laptop with a built-in Nvidia card. Now, regrettably, everything loads well but I do not see any functioning instruments. There is something that appears to be a metal sheet bolted over the FMS control panel, none of the gauges work. The display screens shows "EagleSoft Development". Some of the controls work such as the thrust reverser emergency stow and the air brakes. The plane flies, the yoke, etc. works.

I've carefully gone through the very lengthy discussion on gauges not working after reinstall. Everything appears to be in the correct place. However, I am completely missing the .gua file. I've searched the entire computer.

I've installed, and reinstalled three times, including Steam. I'm running Microsoft flight simulator X for steam.

I'm on a 64-bit version of Windows 10, latest update. The processor and my computer is ninth-generation I-9.

Please help. I'm actually planning on using the Sim to get ready for flight training at Flight Safety since it's been months since I last flown the actual airplane.

Despite your efforts you still do not have a successful and accurate installation.
Uninstall from control panel and remove any left overs from your Steam Sim Objects\Aircraft directory.
Then carefully run the installer from a fresh Downloaded/Unzipped file and be sure to select the Installation Path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX and report back.

Sadly, that was no help. I turned off the security alerts in the control panel and I still get no gauges and no active buttons other than thrust reverser‘s and emergency brake.

I sure wish somebody could help me get this thing going. Happy to offer a small stipend if somebody can walk me through it.

Make certain you run the installer as admin... right click the Flight1 wrapper's exe file and select "Run As Administrator".

Hooray. I followed your advice. I deleted everything associated with Eagle soft from my computer. I then did a reinstall in the proper directory and now the instruments are live. Thank you very much for your help.
